Another witness who witnessed the vandalism.

Yesterday I caught up with Mr Vejaya, a witness to one of the many vandalism incident happening around here.

Mr Vejaya, a businessman who was walking in his estate car park at around 9 in the evening when he heard a loud hissing sound followed by loud laughters intrigued, he went to take a closer look. To his surprise, he saw a group of teenagers spray painting a car Knowing that he was outnumbered he just shout out "police!" so that those teenagers would stop and just go away.

Secondary School Boy Get Beaten Up By Gangsters.

I'm posting this post on behalf of Mr Poh who lives at Vic Street. To cover the incident that happened just yesterday. A group of 4 chinese teenagers between the age of 16-18 years of age was found loitering at the car park. They were looking suspicious as if they were going to commit crimes( motorcycle theft, vandalism, etc.) Mr Poh decided to take a closer look and to his surprise, he found the group of boys beating up a secondary school boy between the age of 13-14 years of age. This incident happened at about 5.35pm in the evening.

Mr Poh wants me to cover this to make the neighbourhood aware of the risk of dangers in the neighbourhood. Hopefully help create an awareness to the rest of the residents in the neighourhood.

With reference to the previous post on vandalism, Mr Poh has no comments.

Dear fellow neighbors,

I am Corporal Lim, from the neighborhood police post. I am here to give some tips on prevention against vandalism.

1. Get to know your neighbors and ask them to keep an eye on your properties
2. When parking outside, try to park your car in an attended car park.
3. Equip your car with a safety alarm.
4. Be careful of people following behind you.
5. Be careful of everywhere you go.

A polytechnic student who witness the car vandalism.

A student who live around Vic Avenue witnessed people vandalizing two months back on the 2nd September 2009 in the afternoon around 2.30PM and since then he had still remember the vandal's face. "He was tall Chinese man, around 180cm and had a scar on his left cheek. He was wearing a brown checkered shirt and blue jeans." said the student.

Inteview with one of the victims.

I caught up with a car vandalism victim, Mr Loo a few days ago. And he told me his experience.
" I was a victim of the car vandalism which occurred 2 months ago. When the vandalism occurred, I was still outside shopping. I was totally shocked when I saw the condition of my car and reported to the police immediately. However, it’s been for months and the vandals are still at large. I really hope that these vandals will get arrested one day to prevent all these vandalism from happening. "

PS: Below is the photo of how his car had been vandalised.

Low Crime means No Crime?

Take a look at the poster below. Do you think that it has achieved its purpose of creating a low crime awareness for the public?

Last night, I was parking my car at Block 10 multi-storey car park level 3, and i actually saw all those cars being sprayed with paint and were scratched. I hope that everyone can be on the lookout for each other and inform the police of any suspicious characters in our neighborhood. Maybe you can check out some tips for drivers when parking our cars in the carpark from the policeman Pete.

PS: Check out the crime-prevention posters that I snapped last week, do you think they work?
